Balearic Islands

These islands are a Mediterranean paradise, less than an hour’s flight from Barcelona. What will you find when you get here? A wonderful place to relax, with every modern comfort; luxurious resorts, exclusive marinas, natural settings that are easy to explore, beautiful coves and a clear turquoise sea. It’s easy to see why this is a favourite destination for international jet-setters, with actors and athletes from all over the world choosing to holiday here.

The most Mediterranean way to enjoy it is to sail from island to island, or visit the more private coves by yacht. All the islands have exclusive marinas with large shopping areas and renowned restaurants.

landmarks THAT CANNOT BE MISSED

Must-sees on the island of Majorca include the capital, Palma, evoking its Arab past, as well as the Tramuntana mountains and coves.

In Ibiza, you’ll see some of the most exclusive marinas, such as in the city of Eivissa. This is a great starting point for exploring the rich heritage of the old city or Dalt Vila, a World Heritage site, and its Almudaina fortress. Ibiza also offers the wildest nightlife in Europe, with unique experiences, such as a meal in Sublimation, one of the most expensive and original restaurants in the world.

Meanwhile, Minorca is peaceful and relaxing, thanks to its many wellness options and tranquil coves. However, the nights are still lively in areas like Mahon (Maó) and Ciutadella, with famous nightclubs offering spectacular sea views.

Don't miss

Shopping: There are many street markets, stalls selling local crafts, and exclusive shopping areas, especially around the marinas. Ibiza’s own fashion style is dominated by ethereal white garments. More information

Water sports: visit the many marinas with large shopping and leisure districts around them, for example in Eivissa and Santa Eulalia (Ibiza), Palma, Puerto Portals and Port Adriano (Majorca), and Ciutadella (Minorca). We recommend a boat tour so you can enjoy the Mediterranean as you sail from cove to cove.

Food: the cuisine from the Balearic islands is thoroughly Mediterranean, healthy and natural. Most dishes are based on vegetables, fish and seafood. The most traditional sweet pastry is the ensaimada.

Wellness: there are many spas, centres and luxury resorts offering custom wellness and beauty programmes.
